MEETING MINUTES - NOVEMBER 1, 2005
11/1/05 Meeting Notes
This is William Salt, your new secretary, and sorry these are so late (it's been a rough, strange week). Anyways, the meeting from last week:
At Introductions, everyone said hi (not much to say).
The first real order of business was the election of a new secretary. Since no one else volunteered, I was elected secretary.
In our Officer Reports, the president announced that Movie Night would be held on Thurs. the 17th, at 7:30 P.M., but I don't have where. The Student Senate will hear our draft for representation as soon as we have a proposal, and we will draft one at some time in the near future. Also, a Diversity Dialogue was held Thurs. the 3rd.
Our Disability Awareness Day event will be held from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. in the Traditions Room of the Kansas Union on Tues. 15. Construction Night, as you already know, will be held on Thurs. 10 at 7 P.M. at Watkins, behind Fraser Hall.
For the first time in a long time, we held a discussion on our experiences with disabilities. I can't remember what all we talked about, but I do remember it was a good one.
As a last note, there was talk about helping the ARH with an AIDS awareness thing... today (whoops) at 3 P.M. There is a packet handout being planned for Dec. the 1st related to this, as well as some other things.
