The first black greek letter sorority established, Alpha Kappa Sorority, Inc. was founded on the campus of Howard University on January 15, 1908 in Miner Hall. Delta Chapter, the fourth oldest chapter in Alpha Kappa Alpha was chartered at the University of Kansas in 1915.
