What is ASHC?

From the Constitution of the All Scholarship Hall Council of the University of Kansas:

ARTICLE II: PHILOSOPHY AND PURPOSE

2.A
The All Scholarship Hall Council is a reprensentative organization of the eleven scholarship halls. Its members recognize the unique advantages of the scholarship hall system and hope to foster a spirit of cooperation in which common interests are developed, problems resolved and goals realized
2.B
In keeping with this spirit, the purposes of the All Scholarship Hall Council are:

To be a forum for discussion of the issues pertinent to the scholarship hall system.
2.B.2
To assist the Department of Student Housing in forumlating policies and guidelines for the Scholarship Hall system.
2.B.3
To be a liaison for the scholarship halls to administrative offices, other living organizations, and student groups of the University of Kansas.
2.B.4
To sponsor and actualize activities, and involve the residents of all the Scholarship Halls.
2.B.5
To promote a positive sense of unity and identification within the scholarship hall system.
2.B.6
To facilitate integration of new scholarship hall residents.
2.B.7
To foster recognition of the Scholarship Halls on a local, regional, and national level.
