Dr. Abdullah Al Mamun (Mamun Bhai) passed away on November 21, 2004 at 3:30 am at Neuro Intensive Care Unit of KU Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas. He had a stroke on the 18th of November.

He was buried on  November 21st at 2:07 pm in a cemetery under the Islamic Society of Greater Kansas City (8501 East 99th Street, Kansas City, MO 64134) after religious services.

Last summer, Mamun Bhai received his doctorate degree in Economics from KU.   He left one son, Samin (3.5 year old) and Rubana, his wife. Rubana Apa is also yet to complete her Ph.D. degree in Economics from KU. Dr. Mamun also left two brothers and two sisters back at home, Bangladesh.
