The Counseling Psychology Student Organization (CPSO) is composed of M.S. and Ph.D. students in the program at KU. CPSO provides a number of important functions for our members, including regular meetings, social events, academic development, and research support.

Most importantly, however, we provide a communication channel to the faculty for the students to express their needs and concerns about issues such as curriculum, new faculty selection, etc. CPSO also facilities communication from faculty to students on program changes and requirements.

CPSO sponsors a counseling journal, newsletter, seminars and presentations, and maintains departmental bulletin boards. Finally, the organization also provides a means for welcoming new students into the department.
