This week is our last meeting of the Spring semester, we will be bidding farewell to all of our graduating seniors as they begin a new chapter in their lives.  On Friday we will be having a cookout to end the semester on a good note, more details to come at the meeting on Thursday.

Welcome all newly initiated brothers! This past weekend we initiated over 25 new brothers into our fraternity. Make sure they feel welcome by congratulating them.  This week we will be having a Professional with employees from Perceptive Software coming to speak to us.  Dress is Professional and be sure to stay after for a short meeting.

I hope everyone had a great spring break 2011! We have 7 weeks left in the school year and its time to get back to it.  This week our meeting is at 7 o'clock in Stauffer Flint Rm 100.  We'll discuss upcoming events for the fraternity as well as continue work with the committees.

This week we will be having a professional with the Marketing Club.  Brooks Brothers will be speaking to us about how to dress for success. Be sure to wear professional dress on Thursday and stick around afterwards for a short meeting to discuss the work going on with the committees.

The new pledges have officially started their journey to becoming members after last weeks pinning ceremony.  If you see any of them on campus be sure to tell them congratulations.  The first pledge meeting is this week at 6:00 in Stauffer Flint and the member meeting will be at 7:00 in Stauffer Flint Room 100.

Thank you to all the pledges who showed up to the interviews last week.  Those of you who welcomed into the fraternity are about to start a great journey learning about Delta Sigma Pi and creating lasting friendships.  This week we have a meeting at 7pm in Stauffer Flint room 100 with a pledge/active social event afterwards at Buffalo Wild Wings.  This is a great opportunity for the pledges to get to know their Bigs and also other members of the fraternity. The professional business fraternities Delta Sigma Pi and Alpha Kappa Psi will be hosting Tim Augustine, author of How Hard Are You Knocking, this Wednesday in Woofruff Auditorium. Tim Augustine is CEO of Atwell Group and a professional speaker. He will be speaking about how to find a job in this tought economy. This is a free event so invite your friends!

This Thursday (10/7) DSP will be having both a professional speaker and a community service event. Our speaker will be Dave Boulter, and will be speaking to us at Henry's on Mass street at 7:00 p.m. Afterwards, we will be having a community service event for BOMA at The Barrel House at 9:00 p.m. BOMA is a foundation that helps raise money to give women in parts of Africa the skills that they need to run a business in a self-sustaining village. Please show up to donate to this good cause!

Hello brothers, this weekend's Midwestern Regional Initiation/Format in Kansas City was a blast! Everyone had a great time, thanks for all of you who attended and helped plan this great event. Also, welcome all the newly initiated brothers! We welcome you into the fraternity and hope that you enjoy this organization. We will be having a meeting this Thursday, April 15th at Stauffer-Flint hall, and will be discussing Chapter Leadership roles for the next semester, so those if you who are interested in participating, please be in attendance. DSP will also be holding a volleyball fundraising event this Saturday, April 17th. The first 100 people to sign up get free entree coupons to Pepperjax Grill. This Thursday's meeting will be held at the regular time: 7:00pm at Stauffer-Flint Hall. We will be having a professional speak to us planned by this semesters pledges. Dress is professional. Also, this Saturday is our Midwestern Regional Initiation with four other chapters from our region. This event is mandatory for all actives and pledges. Please be at Rockhurst University promptly at 1:00pm on Saturday. Check email for more details. This should be an event to remember! A formal at the Aladdin Hotel in downtown Kansas City will be held after the initiation.

I am pleased to say that this semesters LEAD School in Dallas, TX was a huge success! We had thirteen members of the Iota chapter attend, which is a huge turnout. Special thanks to all the brothers who attended  this past weekend to represent the Iota chapter. Next semesters LEAD school will be in the Big Easy... New Orleans, LA! We already have many brothers showing interest for this exciting event. This weeks meeting will be in Stauffer-Flint Hall at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 11th. We will be discussing important events such as initiation, information about our formal, and committee updates. Dress is casual.

We will be having Dr. Brian Russell, a professor from KU, speak to us about Budgeting your Money (after college). Dr. Russell is a licensed psychologist, licensed attorney, lecturer, writer and familiar national television pundit on psychological, legal and, cultural issues. After our professional speaker, we will be having a meeting to discuss important upcoming events.
