Not meeting June, July or August.

Drama Study Group-Arnold Weiss (ahweiss@ku.edu & 842-5502)

June 10 at 1:30 in the Music Room. Drama Study Group met on May 13 to settle, as promised, on an August Wilson play to be its next vehicle. This it duly did, though (unlike a more widely reported conclave recently celebrated in Rome) it settled on a surprise candidate: The Piano Lesson, one of Wilson's somewhat less widely discussed

plays. (The reasons for the choice will not be aired here-though they are

free to be disclosed should anyone be sufficiently interested to ask.)

As an added attraction-and a serendipitous follow-up to the Group's recently concluded reading of Eden End-attendees were treated to a viewing of a video of London produced by fellow DSG member James Taylor, narrated by himself and wife Thelma. The quality of the video was nothing short of stunning; obviously the Society has an (at least to me) unappreciated talent in its midst.

Foreign Policy Study-Margo Gordon (msgordon@ku.edu & 842-1848)

Foreign Policy will not meet in June.

The July meeting will be July ll at 3:30.  Topic:  Outsourcing Jobs:  U.S. Dilemma.
