Afternoon Lecture Series

November 21—Film at 2:00, coffee at 1:45, in the Paul Adam Lounge. We will view the quintessential Glenn Ford film Gilda with Rita Hayworth. This is scheduled to coincide with the very recent death of Glenn Ford, one of Hollywood's sterling stars. Coffee etc. will be available from 1:45 p.m. Guests are certainly welcome.

Drama Study Group

November 10—1:30 in the Music Room. Drama Study Group returns to its customary second Friday schedule to undertake Shakespeare's King Lear—a happy suggestion proferred by our good and faithful friend Hilda Enoch. Acquiring sufficient copies of the play obviously looks to pose no problem—though just in case, a copy or two will likely be available when the group meets.

A heads up to Drama Study regulars—and indeed to all Society members: The Kansas City Repertory Theatre is doing King Lear this season; performance dates are January 19 through February 11, 2007.
