Green Guides
How to green your life in Lawrence.
100 Mile Diet Guide
- The 100 Mile Diet consists of eating food that was produced within a hundred mile radius of where you live. The diet reduces "food miles," miles that your food has to travel to get to your plate, and thus cuts down on energy and resources used. Environs-own Jennifer Kongs is an expert at the art. The Lawrence Journal World has even covered her challenging, but environmentally-friendly diet. Jennifer has tips on how to tackle the 100 mile diet in Lawrence.

Bike Brochure
- A "nifty" brochure brought ot you by KU Environs, Whit Bones, Alternative Energy Society, and NetImpact. The brochure provides safety and weather tips, tells you which hills on campus to avoid, refreshes you on hand signals, and provides the number one campus biking secret (the elevator in KS Union parking lot!).
