To encourage communication among graduate students within the anthropology department and among other students interested in anthropology.

To function as an advocacy group for the graduate students within the anthropology department.

To function as an advocacy group for the needs of the graduate teaching assistants in the anthropology department.

To serve as a forum for discussion among students about upcoming faculty hires and other changes within the Anthropology department.
