HGSO works to provide professional and personal support to history
graduate students. We have an official Constitution and Executive
Officers. This leadership created the HGSO Seminar: an annual event
allowing graduate students to present their research, receive feedback
and expand their professional experiences. An HGSO listserve
communicates departmental information and opportunities. Various HGSO
officers and members assist the department in recruiting the qualified
graduate students. The HGSO Mentoring program assigns an HGSO member to
each first-year graduate student, offering guidance and support to our
newest members.
