Many new attorneys have an interest in intellectual property law but may not have the technical background or desire to start their careers in traditional patent prosecution. Steve Cosentino, a partner in Stinson Morrison Hecker's Intellectual Property & Technology Division, will present on skill development, strategies, marketing and techniques to take advantage of the many other opportunities that an IP practice has to offer. He will also discuss the growing importance of technology and electronic commerce, areas of practice that allow a new attorney to develop experience quickly.
