About KU Japan Festival
History
We organized our 1st KU Japan Festival in 2004 after inspired by "Japan Night" at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.
Japan Night is an annual festival organized by Global Friends of Japan (much like JSA) at Lincoln. Over 80 students are
involved and many sponsors help them run the festival.
Their Japan Night was so impressive, featuring fun skits and authentic Japanese dinner. The JSA officers in those days
concluded that we must have our own Japan Festival here in Kansas too.
