We at KU Cultural India Club would like to invite you all to celebrate Ganesha Chaturthi. Ganesha Festival is a day on which Lord Ganesha, the son of Shiva and Parvati, is believed to bestow his presence on earth for all his devotees. It is also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi or Vinayaka Chavithi in Sanskrit, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu; Chavath () in Konkani and Chathaa () in Nepali. It is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Ganesha.

We have Ganesha Sthapana (consecration of the Ganesha idol) at Park 25 Apartments, 2401W, 25th St, Apt # 1B7, Lawrence 66047. We will have Ganesha puja twice a day starting Wednesday Sept 3 through Sunday Sept 7, 2008. The morning puja aarti will be at 8 am and the evening puja aarti will be at 8 pm everyday.

We will have 21 item offerings (prasad) on the final day of the celebration on Sept 7, 2008. Additionally, we will conclude the day with a Traditional Day and a Potluck Dinner. The Traditional Day will be an opportunity to wear Indian traditional clothes and the Potluck Dinner will serve home made Indian food.We need volunteers for the potluck dinner.
