SPRING BREAK SIGN UPS POSTED WEDNESDAY NIGHT 9pm
The online sign up will open tomorrow for anyone who wants to go on the spring break trip to VEGAS. This does not guarantee a spot on the trip, but rather will place your name on a spreadsheet with all of the necessary skills listed. Once Jake or I check you off on all of the skills listed, you will be placed on the actual trip roster. Once all the space for the trip is full, we will take no further applicants.
Skills check offs will start during the Sam's Throne weekend trip on March 6-8. This will give Jake and I the necessary time to check off the greatest number of people. After the Sam's trip we will continue to check off people as space permits.
Online sign ups for Spring Break potentials will be posted tomorrow around 9pm. I will send out an email when the sign ups are available.
Sam's Throne online sign up will be posted this weekend. I will email everyone when this is available.

If you have any questions I urge you to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call me at 913-488-4060. Please make sure that if you are calling me you have a legitimate question. I am quite busy with taxidermy/studying and don't have much time for questions like: "I can't find my pants, where are they? I don't have the ability to eat solid foods, would you chew up food for me while on the trip and feed it to me like a baby penguin? Have you seen my mom? Are dogs mouths really cleaner than ours? What are two types of egg laying mammals?" Answers: I don't know. Yes, of course. Not since last night. Doesn't taste like it. Echidna and platypus.
Other than that I love you all even though you are all naughty little children and will all be getting coal for Christmas if I have anything to do with it which I do because I am in fact Santa Claus but I am mostly the giver of run on sentences and not presents.
I am so excited I just pooped.
Shake and bake,
William Poopy Pants Pass
FALL BREAK SIGN UPS NOW POSTED
We will be leaving on our Fall Break trip to Arkansas on the evening of Wednesday, October 15th. We will be returning on Sunday, October 19th. It's going to be a great time! As always, please volunteer your car if you can. In order to go on this trip you must know how to use an ATC and set up/break down a top rope. If you don't know how to do these things but would still like to go, please tell an officer or email email@example.com expressing your interest. We teach skills.
Jake's Thursday Night Climbing Clinic 8:30pm
Please attend Jake's Thursday night class focusing on the set up and breakdown of climbing anchors. If you are planning on coming on fall break and do not know how to set up an anchor, please try to make it to this clinic. There will be a clinic every week or two and most of them will build on the previous clinic, so try to come when you can. Our goal is to get the new members up to speed on some of the basic rope management and anchors systems so that by the end of the semester they would feel comfortable going to a climbing area without the club and they would be able to set up a top rope. Just remember, the more time you put into climbing systems in the gym, the more climbing you can do outside.
Be sure to bring food and water for the whole weekend. Each person needs two gallons of water. Plastic screw top drinking water from the supermarket. We won't be stopping at a supermarket on the way. Suggested food items: oatmeal, tuna, peanut butter, bagels, nuts, Clif Bars, macaroni and cheese, pasta, oranges...anything that doesn't need to be refrigerated. Bring a pot if you plan on boiling water.
Here are the car assignments. Drivers are listed first. Make sure you have your license and insurance photocopied in room 103 at the Rec before leaving.
Be at the Rec center parking lot 30 minutes before cars leave so we can load up!
