Lawrence Fair Food Retreat

The Lawrence Fair food retreat will be a place to reflect on Lawrence Fair Food organizing, hear report-backs from the Student-Farmworker Encuentro, strategize for future actions, eat food, go swimming and have fun!!!

A bus will depart from Solidarity Center: 1109 Mass St. at 5:30pm on Friday, September 14th. The bus will drive 20 minutes out-of-town, to land where we will strategize, reflect, eat and swim together! The bus will depart at 11pm- and return to Lawrence. If you are able to make a small donation for gas $, that would be greatly appreciated!

Whether you have been active with Lawrence Fair Food, or you would like to learn more about us...you are invited to this fun event. Feel free to paper and something to write with, food to share, a towel and bathing suit are optional!!!

Here is a loose outline of what will be covered at he retreat:

5:30- Meet at Solidarity, 1109 Mass St. (Please be on time!)
6:15-6:30- Ice breaker and Introductions
6:30-7:15: March for Fair Food evaluation/reflection (Cory)
7:30-8:30: (Over dinner): Encuentro report-back from Jimmy, Rick, Katy, Kim and Cory
8:30-9:00: Burger King brand-busting (Kim)
9:00-10:00: Next Steps and National days/weeks of action (Katy)
10:00-11:00: Free time, swimming, mafia, fun!!!
11:00- Depart for Lawrence
