When you apply to KU, you must choose what housing type you would like on the application form.  If Miller is one of your choices, you must submit three short essays and two references along with your application.  The essays are reviewed by a committee of Millerites.  The committee then chooses which essays they like the best.  There is no set selection number, it just depends on how many openings are available.  Once chosen, each Millerite must maintain a 2.5 GPA and must take at least 28 credit hours per year.
