about::the Society The National Society of Collegiate Scholars [NSCS] was founded in 1994 at George Washington University in Washington, DC, to honor and inspire academic excellence and engage citizenship for a lifetime. Since then, the Society has grown to more than 350,000 lifetime members from colleges and universities around the country.
