The Student Bar Association
SBA is essentially a self-supporting organization and receives limited financial support from the school.
SBA supports various charities to spread the energy and enthusiasm of student and alumni volunteers and donors.
The Student Bar Association is the representative government for the School of Law at University of Kansas.
Every student is a member by virtue of being a student. No dues are required. Every student has a vote in the yearly elections.
Per our constitution, the Executive Board of the SBA serves independently from, and equal to, the administration and faculty of the School of Law.
The SBA is responsible for funding all student groups in the law school, allocation of office space, and promotion of special events.
The SBA is also the honor code adjudication body at the School of Law.
Elections are held toward the end of the spring semester for all board positions.
A copy of the bylaws and constitution are available in our office.
