Tri-Beta Minutes

The following members were present: Lori Amey, Neal Anson, Shannon Banes, Emily Blankenship, Cecilia Compton, Sara Dawson, Steve Evans, Jessica Gnau, Rachel Graves, Chelsea Miller, Nicole Mohlman, Christine Murray, James Puhl, and Miguel Ramirez.

 

Faculty advisor Dr. Greg Burg was also present.

 

I. District Convention

      A.  When: April 11-13 2003

      B.   Where: Nebraska

 

II. T-Shirts

      A.  White or Red shirt

      B.   Money will be needed up front

      C.  Neal will send an email about ordering

 

III. Spring Semester Meetings

      A.  Last Tuesday of every month

      B.   7 pm in Room 2032 Haworth

 

IV. Community Service Ideas

      A.  Salvation Army

            1.  Help with remodeling of building (painting)

      B.   Jubilee Café

            1.  When: Tuesday and Friday mornings 6am-9am

                 a) Cook 6am-7am

                 b) Serve 7am–8am

                 c) Clean 8am-9am

            2.  Where: First Methodist Church (10th and Vermonth)

      C.  Fundraiser Event at Robinson (Field Day)

            1. Event ideas: Indoor soccer, 3 on 3 basketball, volleyball

      2.  We would need volunteer officials, helpers, set-up/ clean-up crews, etc.

      3.  See if Biology club, AMS, and/or AWIS want to help.

 

V.  Recruitment

      A.  New member applications

            1.   Deadline will be April 1st 2003

      B.   We will put up flyers around Haworth and talk in classes to promote TriBeta
