To join UWC, print UWC Membership Form and bring it to the September meeting or mail to the address listed on the form.

Affiliated with KU, our members meet for friendship and to serve the University. Formed in 1900 to help women take advantage of the educational, cultural and social heritage of KU, our club initiated housing for women students and later founded what is now the longest continuous scholarship program. Over time we've moved toward more inclusive membership. We welcome colleagues and spouses across our extended KU family.

Today we serve needs in these areas:

• Scholarship - UWC offers annual awards to help women pursue educational goals at KU.
• Service - Members contribute time and talents to recurring or special events at the University and in the Lawrence community.
• Social - From mentoring newcomers to keeping retirees involved, UWC fosters companionship. Each fall, members sharing enthusiasms form new interest groups as established groups welcome additional participants.

You can join UWC at any time. An inviting feature of membership is the freedom to choose which Interest Groups and events to attend. For example, if monthly luncheon meetings don't fit into workdays, you can attend just the programs that follow meals. Be involved as much or as little as you wish.
